Have you ever wanted a delicious, hot, cheesy pizza but just before you reach for the phone to call your favorite delivery place, you are hit with and unrelenting urge for Buffalo wings? Yea, me too. You probably do the following at least once. You call the pizza joint and add a dozen hot wings to your pizza order. Fail! Why? Because those aren’t even real wings or they were frozen back in the 60′s. I don’t really what the deal is but pizza joint wings suck. If there is an exception, I haven’t found it. But don’t worry, ChiliCheeseFries.Net to the rescue! This Buffalo chicken pizza recipe will satisfy both your simultaneous cravings.
Keep in mind to use a good quality pizza dough from say a bakery or fresh market or make your own from scratch. Avoid the prebaked versions. Also, use a pizza stone or if you have a few loose bricks lying around, arrange them on your grill grate to form a solid surface and bake pizzas on top of them in the grill. No really!
INGREDIENTS:
- enough prepared pizza dough for 3 (14 inch) pizzas
- 3/4 cup Frank’s® RedHot® Sauce, divided
- 1/4 cup prepared alfredo sauce
- 1 1/2 cups grilled diced chicken
- 1 1/2 cups shredded jack cheese
- 1/4 cup sliced red onion
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- bleu cheese or ranch dressing for garnish
PREPARATION:
1. Combine 1/2 cup of the Frank’s RedHot with the alfredo sauce. Reserve until needed. Next combine the chicken with the remaining Frank’s RedHot Sauce.
2. To make each pizza: Preheat oven to 500°F. Stretch pizza dough to 14″ and spread 1/4 cup of the RedHot and alfredo sauce evenly over the dough within1/4″ of edge. Now sprinkle 1/2 cup of jack cheese evenly over sauce, and follow with a 3rd of the onion, diced chicken and 1/2 cup mozzarella. Bake 10-12 minutes. Drizzle with bleu cheese dressing in a zig zag pattern.
