Announcing the “Tropatini”

March 1, 2009  |  Cocktails  |  Print Recipe

Here is another sweet tropical vodka martini cocktail recipe for all you sweet drink lovers. The wife and I had a martini party not so long ago and we experimented with lots of different ingredients and came up with a few winners such as the Black Snake Mona Martini from a previous post, a mango and soda elixir and even a peanut butter and banana concoction. Lots of good results but my wife declared this tropical blend the winner hands down. Enjoy.

Note: The glass used in this photo is tinted green. The actual drink is not this color.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 – 3 oz premium vodka
  • 1/2 oz fresh orange juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup (2 cups sugar dissolved in 1 cup boiling water, then cooled)
  • 1 orange wedge
  • 1 lime wedge
  • 1 lemon wedge
  • 3 chunks of fresh pineapple
  • 3 slices kiwi

In a shaker add the wedges, chunks and slices and muddle well.  Add the juices, vodka and ice and shake well. Double strain into a large martini glass.  Garnished with 3 red seedless grapes.
